              Applications are invited from the intended candidates and who fulfill the minimum qualification and conditions for selection to the following Para Medical Courses in Govt. Medical Colleges at Bangalore, Mysore, Bellary, Belgaum, Hubli & Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital, Bangalore and Govt. Dental College, Fort, Bangalore and also Govt. quota seats in Private Institutions for the year 2008-09.

          MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

1.     For all the above courses except Diploma in Medical Records Technology a pass in II PUC or equivalent examination with Science Subjects(PCB,PCZ & PC Botany) and duration of the courses two (2) years.

2.     S.S.L.C. passed candidates also be considered for all the above courses and the duration of the courses will be three (3) years.

3.     For Medical Records Technology, a pass in II PUC or equivalent examination with any subjects (Science, Commerce or Arts) or a pass in S.S.L.C. in addition, a pass in English Junior Typing or Computer Training. Further duration of the course for PUC candidates 2 years and for SSLC candidates 3 years.

4.     Applicants should have studied at least 7 years in Karnataka, from 1st standard to 10th standard or PUC. A copy of study certificate shall be furnished along with the application and original should be produced at the counselling time along with all other original certificates. No candidate will be allowed for counselling without study certificate and other original certificates.

AGE LIMIT:

              The minimum age is 15 years and maximum is 35 years in general. In respect of SC/ST upper age limit is 40 years as on the last date fixed for submitting the filled application.

APPLICATION FORMS:

              Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Principals of BMC&RI. B’lore, MMC&RI, Mysore, VIMS, Bellary, KIMS, Hubli, BIMS, Belgaum, HIMS, Hassan, RIMS, Raichur & BIMS, Bidar by paying an application fee of Rs. 100/- and in case of SC/ST Rs. 25/- in the form of D.D. drawn in favour of the Principal of the respective Govt. Medical College.

              Application forms will be issued from 04/08/08 Monday to 16/08/08 Saturday (BDI) by the respective  eight (8) Govt. Medical Colleges.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION:

              The filled / completed application forms with attested copies of certificates with Rs. 5/- postal stamp affixed self addressed envelope should be submitted to the Principal of respective Govt. Medical College from which the application obtained on or before 25/08/08 Monday 4:00 p.m.  After the last date and time no application will be received.

SELECTIONS:

              Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Merit-Cum-Categorywise through CENTRAL COUNSELLING.

              Central Counselling will be held in the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Auditorium, Bangalore Medical College, Fort, K.R. Road, Bangalore – 560 002.  Intimation will be sent only to the eligible candidates who have furnished self-addressed envelope along with the application.

      the  Regional Institute of Para Medical Sciences(RIPS)    

3. Para Medical Courses in Raichur Inst. of Medical Sciences, Raichur,        

    Hassan Inst. of Medical Sciences, Hassan & Bidar Inst. of Medical

    Sciences, Bidar  are likely to be started from the academic year 2008-09.
